Last summer I joined a program called TOPS (Take OFF Pounds Sensibly). Since I have joined I have been going back and forth with the weight. That was because I was a little overwhelmed with things going on in my life. So I am committed now to focusing more on my health issues.
I had started to write down everything I eat and drink and my activity for the day. That has been going on for a few weeks now since I started getting more committed to the program. So I went to my local meeting last night, We meet every Tuesday evening at 6pm. I got on the scale and found out that i had lost 2 lbs. this week. Whew!!
My Goal is to hit 153 lbs. before the year ends. Although I think I could be comfortable with 132 or 123 lbs. But my doctor has put it into a prescription that I need to at least be 153 for a good goal.
Anyway, slow success is a good way to lose as I have learned slow and steady wins the prize. For me the prize is a healthy and lean body. I do not want to end up like my mother who passed away a few weeks ago from ill health. My doctors have all ready told me my cholesterol levels are up too much, So that means I need to keep eating healthy meals and working on a more healthy lifestyle. I am now using a pedometer to track my steps and miles.
I also know that in the Avon Brochures there are some nice tools for me to use so I may think about ordering some of those nice measuring devices.
